Problem

When we chose to redesign Outlook something stood out to me, the inability to find what I needed in a timly manner

So we created an assistant with all the most used tools that can assist in any way possible

Research

When researching what caused the most trouble, we wanted to compare the number of choices users had across different emailing platforms.

Apple Mail - 5 buttons

Yahoo Mail - 6 buttons

Gmail - 10 buttons

Outlook- 40 buttons

How have other assistants worked?

Siri? Cortana?

When creating our helper, we looked at the entire market of different solutions to help streamline processes. From this, we landed on a design that streamlined from the right, allowing users to click exactly what they needed in the moment.

Ideation

How will it work?

While we wanted to display multiple forms of information, doing so in a clean and simple way was challenging. Therefore, we looked at inspiration where circular methods were used to present this information.

And then sketched ideas for the product and the animation

Mid-Fidelity

We continued to the high fidelity due to time contraints

User Testing

Testing against the competitors

In this testing, we measured how much time it took to find the attach button in both Outlook and Google to compare it to something similar to Olly. We found that it took a staggering 10 more seconds to locate the correct button, comparatively.
